Assess your organization’s current practices and processes against the requirements of the relevant ISO standard to identify any gaps or areas for improvement.
Implement necessary changes to align your organization’s practices and processes with the requirements of the ISO standard.
Develop documentation, such as policies, procedures, and work instructions, to support the implementation of the ISO standard within your organization.
Conduct an internal audit to evaluate the eectiveness of your organization’s implementation of the ISO standard and identify any non-conformities that need to be addressed.
Hold a management review meeting to review the results of the internal audit and determine any corrective actions that need to be taken.
Select a certification body accredited by a recognized accreditation body to conduct the certification audit.
The certification body conducts an initial certification audit to assess whether your organization’s management system conforms to the requirements of the ISO standard. This audit may consist of a document review and on-site assessment of your organization’s processes.
If any non-conformities are identified during the certification audit, you will need to implement corrective actions to address them.
Based on the findings of the certification audit and any corrective actions taken, the certification body makes a decision regarding certification.
After certification is granted, the certification body will conduct periodic surveillance audits to ensure that your organization continues to maintain compliance with the ISO standard.
